Lisa understands that a holistic approach to healing is one that works and creates positive change. Her philosophy is to provide a plan that is unique, individualized, and that includes a collaborative learning experience. She often recommends the use of alternative therapies (i.e., Yoga, Acupuncture, Massage, Aromatherapy, Tai Chi, etc.) along with evidenced based treatment. Lisa is experienced treating individuals, groups, and families and uses therapeutic orientations (CBT,DBT, Solution Focused, etc.) in accordance with a client’s specific need. She completed her Masters in Mental Health Counseling at Argosy University with honors, has attended the GSAHEC’s Returning Veterans Mental Health Program and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with the International Association of Trauma Professionals. She uses EMDR and Brainspotting based techniques from her trauma trainings to help her clients reduce symptoms and lead healthier lives. Lisa is a Florida Board Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) and has had a long time interest in helping those that suffer with addiction. She completed her internship at Manatee Glens in the Addictions Residential Treatment Center, Outpatient Detox Center, as well as here at Mangrove Wellness Center. She also happens to be a Certified Anger Management Treatment Provider.
She has an art background and has experience with jewelry making, ceramics, Shibori hand dye work on silk, as well as being a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. Lisa previously taught high school English to troubled teens for over 10 years and loves working with animals, anything involving Pet Therapy, working with all ages, and being an advocate to those in need.
Lisa enjoys cooking, gardening, writing, reading, and caring for her pets in her spare time.

Christine has been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in practice for over six years. She received her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Arizona State University and a Master of Arts in mental health counseling from Argosy University in Phoenix, Arizona. Christine relocated to Sarasota in October 2014. She is originally from New Jersey.
Christine has worked in community mental health in Arizona and Florida with adolescent and adult populations dealing with symptoms of depression, anxiety, panic, anger, trauma, DUI charges, as well as clients having difficulties with communication and interpersonal relationships. Her methods and models used are cognitive behavioral therapy, person centered therapy, as well as art techniques. Christine has worked with clients who have experienced trauma and is in the beginning stages of becoming certified in trauma/emergency care.
She enjoys spending time at the beach, being out in nature, reading, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends.

My name is Jerry and I am thrilled that you have visited our website. My journey to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor has many winding roads and it all began in Florida. Yes, I am a true native Floridian.
I joined the U.S. Navy after graduating from High School.While on Active Duty, I graduated Cum Laude with a Baccalaureate degree in Management from Troy. I went on to earn an MBA in Global Management from the University of Phoenix. I was extremely fortunate to have been able to Honorably serve my country for 23 years and retired from Active Duty in 2004. I then pursued my second graduate program with a specialization in Counseling and Psychology.
I spent time at First Step and helped numerous clients restore their lives who had been struggling with addiction. I then worked as an in-patient counselor at Riverside Behavioral Center in Punta Gorda in their crisis stabilization unit and was later offered a position as a school counselor which I still do.
I use CBT, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution Focused Therapy to help adolescents, young adults, adults and families through their struggles.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.

Stephanie has expertise working with children, adolescents, individual adults, families, grief issues, and women's issues. Stephanie helps children with school issues, anxiety, including social anxiety, and depression. She specializes in play therapy, including sand tray therapy. Stephanie works with adults and adolescents addressing issues of depression, anxiety, grieving, addictions and substance abuse, school and job stress.
Stephanie has worked as a guidance counselor in public and private schools. She has provided treatment for addictions and substance abuse in outpatient and inpatient psychiatric settings, dealing with co-occuring disorders.
Stephanie received her BS degree in social work from James Madison University in Virginia and her masters degree in counselor psychology from Chaminade University in Honolulu, Hawaii. She has a Florida Professional Educator's Certificate in Guidance and Counseling and has certification as an equine psychotherapist.

My Bachelors degree is from the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio, where I majored in Social Work. I received my Masters degree from Bowling Green State University in the Guidance and Counseling program. I was then certified in Clinical Counseling from the University of Heidelberg.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I have worked with children, adolescents and adults, with emergency mental, emotional and substance problems, who were admitted to inpatient crises stabilization units. I also have experience with children, adolescents and adults, experiencing behavioral and emotional difficulties, and have counseled in both school and home based settings.
I specialize in treating mood disorders, Adjustment disorders, ADHD, Oppositional Defiance, Reactive Attachment Disorders, abuse/neglect, loss and bereavement, substance abuse and dependence, couples and families with relationship problems and seniors.
Depending on the specific treatment needs of each individual or family, I use a variety of theoretic approaches to reduce negative, dysfunctional thoughts, feelings and behaviors, with the goal of improved functioning. Susan is a seasoned licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with nearly 20 years of experience working with couples, families, and individuals. She is truly a couple’s expert! She also enjoys working with adolescents and young adults. Susan had her own successful private practice in Connecticut for many years and she and her husband have recently moved to Sarasota.
Susan uses an eclectic approach in an open, warm, non-judgmental, humanistic, creative, and fun style. She believes that regardless of presenting issues, bringing heart, acceptance, and flexibility to one’s life is central to the health of both mind and body.

Megan grew up on the Jersey Shore before re-locating to Florida for college. Megan received her Bachelor’s in Education and Humanities from UCF. She then went on to earn her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University. Megan has several years of experience in the mental health and addiction field which were primarily spent in community mental health. Megan is experienced treating individuals, groups, adults, and children using a variety of therapeutic orientations (CBT, DBT, Solution Focused, Psychodynamic, Motivational Interviewing, etc). Due to every client’s uniqueness, Megan will cater each session to better meet the needs of the individual.
During her time in Community Mental Health, Megan has experienced individuals with Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar, PTSD, and Addiction to name a few. Megan has facilitated Seeking Safety which is an evidence-based group therapy for individuals who have experienced trauma and addiction. Megan is also a certified Nurturing Parenting instructor and has facilitated countless parenting groups for both mandated and voluntary clients including an 18 week group for parents in recovery. Currently, Megan also works as a School Counselor in a high school.
